Hello Friends! I was driving my 1995 Subaru impreza when a distracted driver in a late model F150 4x4 collided head on into my drivers side crushing me inside my car after nearly two hours first responders were able to cut the car apart enough to get me out and rush me to the hospital. I broke my femur in 2 places, shattered my radius and ulna in my left forearm, fractured 5 bones in my face and skull, fractured 4 ribs, fractured my clavicle and scapula, broke my jaw bone. chest contusions severely bruised ribs.. I was in the hospital 2 weeks and have been in and out since because of two botched surgeries that are costing me an arm and a leg physically not metaphorically. The rod in my femur was protruding out under my knee causing extremely limited range of motion. and some point after surgery on my arm and me waking up from my coma my elbow was dislocated and thereafter left untreated even tho there was a ct scan ordered on Feb of my arm showing the dislocation it was never reviewed and I was discharged on Feb 13 it wasnt until my follow up with the orthopedic specialist and new xrays were taken nearly a month after the accident did they catch that mistake but it was too late and there is a bone growth deformation on the radial head of the bone so it can never be reduced (put back in place) eventually they will saw off the radial head so I will have more range of motion than I do now. My leg is externally rotated (foot facing outward) and the protruding rod is restricting my knees range of motion but I have scheduled surgery to repair this next tuesday at UTMB in Galveston, they're going to replace the rod and saw my femur in half to correct the position of my leg. I will upload a couple pictures later so you can see what I'm talking about. DOWN TO BUSINESS!!! since I will NEVER be able to drive a manual shift car again with only 1 working arm I would like to convert my 1976 & 1978 Porsche 911's to automatic transmission or possibly trade both for another 911/964/993 with an automatic transmission. will post pictures later of my 911's, I also have a partially restored 914 was curios if anyone has ever converted one to automatic transmission? Thanks!!! -Crash

Good lord. What a mess. At least you survived. I hope you have a speedy recovery.
