First of all, WHEN IS SEPTEMBER 18TH GOING TO GET ON THE BALL AND GET HERE ALREADY!!!!

Second, any updates to your track carruchas??

C5 Z06:

Replaced front caliper aluminum pistons with stainless steel pistons
Installed more aggressive Carbotech XP-12's front and XP-10's rear
Installed new set of rotors with better vane structure
Installed better cooling for front brakes - yeah baby!!
Replaced rear calipers - seemed I had warped rear caliper aluminum pistons and pistons are no longer available and so needed new calipers
Got me a real workbench and so overhauled every metal, rubber, etc. bushing on le brake system - no more excuses
Oh yeah - finally waxed the car
Waiting on air intake system....

Hey Andy, you finally going the used GT3 route, let me know and convince me to the darkside meng....

Drove up Pikes Peak today to the 14k foot summit. A majestic view indeed. Wife and kids kept on making funny noises especially when there was only a 2-3 foot margin between us and a sheer dropoff. Brakes held up inour newly acquired Japanese version of the Panamera:

Those folks participating in the Pikes Peak International challenge must have some massive steel nuts....

Currently I am running Nitto NT-01's with 100 treadwear and 6/32nd tread depth. Good balance of performance and longevity.

Is anyone currently running the new Falken RT-615K with 8/32nd tread depth and 200 treadwear. They are replacing the prior RT615 and although the K is still rated at 200 TW it is supposed to have tread compound that is lighter yet stronger sidewalks ans better grip.

Any other options folks are aware of or running that is not an R compound option. Remember, focusing on a balance of longevity and performance as I have now participated in four full events with my current Nitto's: MSR Cresson, HhR, and two CCA.

So what track config for the 11th??

Jaime helped this AM with replacing stock brake lines with stainless steel braided brake lines on all four corners, replaced F/R rotors, and bled with Modul 600. Brake pedal feels more solid and should be able to run the full event this time.
