This is a super-cool project! Porsche Classic is fully restoring a 1973 911T. The finished product will be raffled among PCA members. The car will be presented to the winner during next year's parade in August 2011.
You can check out the restoration here:
http://www.porsche.com/international/acces...oryrestoration/

This car will be essentially a new car, it's a full "nuts and bolts" restoration, done by the factory at Zuffenhausen, its old home where it was once produced for the US market.
Quite a collectible, being one of the famous "F" models (last model year for this particular example).

For those not familiar with Porsche Classic, they specialize in restoring classics of the marque, they service about 250 cars annually.
As with every restoration, the new owner of the 911 T will receive a book with comprehensive documentation of the work done on the vehicle, an exclusive plaque and a photo CD with around 1,000 pictures - all packed in a valuable leather case.

Should be a real cool project to follow. They will document the whole process online at the link I referenced above.

PCA is now offering track insurance for dedicated track cars. This will cover TSP (transit, storage and paddock) losses for your car and trailer, and is quite affordable (coverage for a $20K track car is about $250/year). It does not cover your vehicle while it is on a racing surface or operating under its own power with one exception – the policy does provide coverage while loading/unloading from a trailer or storage building. Check it out:

Is it just me, or is this just plain wrong?

"As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country," Obama told an intently listening crowd gathered at the White House Friday evening to observe the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

"That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances," he said. "This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable."

Nevermind that there are literally hundreds of mosques in the NY area already. Why put another one there, of all places?
I'll tell you why. It goes all the way back to the caliphs era, when muslims used to build their mosques literally on top of the religious monuments of their conquered regions. It was the ultimate "slap in the face". And now, they'll get to do it to us. With the approval and help of our president, no less.

We have reached an all-time low.

Obama regardless of where he might have been born was raised as a Muslim kid in third world countries by Commies. How can we expect Thomas Jefferson II given that beginning? He missed all the early childhood experiences and socialization of growing up American. No pledge of allegiance, no football, no baseball, no apple pie (you know what I mean). He is truly an stranger in the land. An alien at heart regardless the place on a birth certificate.

Can't wait for this clown to be voted out of office.

I have a surgeon friend who is looking to sell his 1973 series-3 Jaguar E-type coupe 2+2. The car has the V12 engine, it's BRG/biscuit (dark tan) leather, everything works, even the A/C!
Jaime went through this car @ Prestige, and the car runs like a top. Needs nothing. He's looking for $30K, but he's flexible. If I had any garage room at all, this would be mine. Excellent car, and it will only appreciate in value.
