Guy's I won't be able to make it to this meeting. Will be leaving to PR earlier that day (unexpected business-related trip).
Russo can be my "proxy".

As per Randy's request, here's a summary of our last meeting:

Feb 20th we'll run the 1.4CCW, unless gator pond is dry, in which case we could run 1.6CW v/s 1.8CCW.
Cost will be $100 to existing members, $80 for first-timers.
We need more people to attend the events. We actually lost money on our last event. Everyone should do their best to recruit new attendees.
We are in the process of printing out some fliers to help with event promotion.
Carreras GT2 is slow. (but it looks good)

Just a clarification. The Feb event will be the old pricing 80/60. All future events will be under the new pricing 100/60. This is so that we can at least break even on events with our core driving group. AS Hand doc said bring more people! WE also agreed to individual duty assignments for the events. I will email out the list today so please volunteer. The more efficient the events the more driving time we get to enjoy.

Instead of emailing here are the duties that need to be covered:
Set up
Registration
Tech inspections
Start / finish - corner workers
Take Down
Recruiting- new member mentoring, chat up etc.

If seperate individuals take resposibility for each assignment we will get an extra driving session in.

Thanks for the clarification on the fees.
I won't make it to the March event (will be in Haiti), but I'll be glad to do Tech Inspections and help with Takedown for the rest of the year. I'll also be instructing, and can help with "rookie school".

For Feb I can help with the mentoring and working with instructor/student pairs, and I would like to try to do a ground school for first-timers before they go on track. OK for tech inspections or start-finish, really anything but takedown, as I'll be heading north by 3:30 or 4:00.

We can have a ground school for the newer folks if reds run first and we have a few people for corners and start/finish. Nothing fancy, just cover some DE terms and driving concepts.

What time is "set-up?" - as a reminder to anyone relatively new, you learn a lot about the course by setting it up, looking at the track surface and camber. How might an enthusiastic setter upper get in the gate early?

Thanks.

Maybe if you explain how early you get up in order to be there on time, some may learn from it.
You example is needed here.
Us old guys get up early anyway, but the young ones (non-military) still believe in waiting until
the last second.

I would like to help out as a corner worker and set up. Want to have a good look at the track before I go out there.
