Hi all,
The GP is over but the excitement lingers. The net connection is slow here in New Hampshire so I'll add some photos after I get home. On Friday we were a little late and the 1600cc formula class, like SCCA Formula Ford, was all I saw. While they were not as fast as the F1's they drove well and aggressively, but no serious wrecks.
I'll add more later,

On my vacation to Wally World I drove at the Richard Petty track near the Magic Kingdom. I haven't "turned left" in a long time. You have to follow one of their drivers and he is limited to a minimum lap time but it's still fun. This was my first time to use a HANS device. I know it provides a lot of protection for your head and neck but you can not turn your head but a few degrees. That's OK if your by yourself on the track but with traffic it's like blinders for a horse, no side to side vision. I saw this in action watching the German F1 at the start. Mark Webber saw Hamilton coming up to pass, in his mirror, on the left and pulled over into the second position car. At the time I thought it was the dumbest move that could be made, deliberately causing a wreck at the start. But the real reason was he could not turn his head to see the car to his right. It was still Webber's fault as his move was an overreaction. There was room for Hamilton to pass. I have seen other neck protection aids that provide more room to turn your head than the HANS device. If you are considering such a saftey device look into how much head movement is allowed in making your purchase.

Someone ask me what the track looked like and when I tried to show them on the rgvpca site I could not find the map page with the track layout. It may just be me. Anyway here is a Google Earth photo with dots and arrows and meaningless labels.

Sold i-m_so_happy.gif sorry.gif The happiest and saddest day. Well it was easy to sell. Delete when necessary.
Tired of those high racing costs? I'm getting out of the DE and autocross hobby. The old body says no mas.
For sale 1988 Honda CRX weights about 1580 lbs.
Auto power roll bar bolt in.
One aluminum racing seat.
!989 B16 1600 cc Honda engine.
stock internals. Adjustable cam sprockets. milled head, .030. Thin head gasket 12.8:1 compression. Ported and polished to a top engine builders directions. I did the porting. Cam gears adjusted to stock cam position. 4 into one stainless ITR headers. Bent and scraped a little. 2" Skunk 2 racing exhaust. Hondata S300 ECU. Engine changed to OBD 1 for the Hondata. The Hondata is just rough tuned and feels good. More power may be available with a dyno tune.
11" front disks with Carbotech pads. They work fine.
Rear disk brakes from a later model Honda.
All stainless brake hoses.
All suspension parts have red urathane bushings and they are all good.
AGX adjustable shocks.
Adjustable camber all 4 wheels.
4 Kosie 15 X 7 wheels still in good condition just a little paint damage.
8 used DOT tires 225/50/15. One set Kumo V700 and one Hancook 211 C30 compound. Several events left on both sets. A couple of back up tires just in case.
The front wheels have spacers for tire clearance. I don't think you need them with the 225/50/15's but I was too lazy to take them off.
Eboch springs Sports. No other data on the springs.
And much more.
The trailer is in good shape. Good tires, bearings, new wench and straps. 2" ball hitch. If you need it I can give the ball and raciever with it.

All for $5000. Ask about a trade if you have something.
