This looks like fun. †Are there any different rules, qualifications, etc.. that I need to run there vs. at Cameron?

If so, what do I need?

Thanks

I believe you will probably need to be accomplished as a solo driver - pending Rene and Steve's decision. If you can, come out to the Feb 21 event at Cameron County.

Those HHR events are awesome. I am going to the Hill Country Region's event there next weekend.

Hey Rene - when is registration going to open on CR.net for the H2R event?

I believe CR.net indicates it opens 2/2.

I heard that! Is there a way to pre-register for the pre-registration? wink3.gif

Send rmj951 a message:
1) let him know you're coming and bringing your friends.
2) volunteer for something (start, corner, grid, registration, parking assignments...)
I bet that'll put you first on the list!

We'll be sending a couple of e-blasts on the event in February.

How does one 'accomplish' themself? †Do you mean signed off to DE by yourself, or something more involved? †I've driven at Cameron about 5 times in total, I've just been missing for the past year or so.. †The January event was my first in awhile.

Anyway, working corners or helping out is no problem, my question is more about the car tech. †Do I need rollbar, etc.. any other equipment? †Also, is a M2000 helmet good enough? †

I'd hate to get there and sent away for not meeting some requirement or spec. they have there that we don't in Cameron.

Steve you are welcome to sign up & the helmet is fine; remember this is a CBR event just like the ones at Cameron just a bit bigger at a great facility.

This is a solo only event you must have been cleared by CBR to solo in our DE events or have previous experience elsewhere.

Randy, Steve thanks for volunteering to help. You are both pre registered if anyone else wants to pre register let me know & ill sign you up prior to the Feb 2nd opening of registration.

X35...sounds like you are quite accomplished! The only spec I know of is the loudness issue with race cars...which I understand has gotten more scrutiny here recently. I guess sound carries better in cold weather.

I will report on my experiences and observations from next weekend. There are some race cars on the roster for the Hill Country event.

Ok cool, just wanted to be sure about everything.. †

Do you mean me Steve, or Steve Romans (or yet some other Steve) is pre-registered? †I'm not 100% sure I can get the time (and $$$) to make it up there yet, so I'd hate to take someone's spot. †Looks like an excellent place though.

Thanks for the info.

Rene,

Any idea whether we'll be running CW or CCW this time?

My absentee vote is CW. to_become_senile.gif
CCW seems dicey where folks are coming out of pit.

I just love that little push up and out of that last corner into the front sweeper!
