Sweeet! The red chile's got some surprises coming up soon too!
Found a nice set of Moton's Clubsports, custom exhaust (w/o cats), and I'm working on a trick transmission with close ratios, along with a GT2 LSD.
Can't let you guys get too confident!

Wow everyone going Moton! That’s a great set up I might regret this HD but, look at a Guard Transmission Diff instead of the factory its a better unit & will last much longer. Bill, Carreras & I have that diff set up for 50/80 lockup.

Id love to go Moton but this is all the beating the wallet can stand at this time.

I'm getting a great deal on a rennlister that's stripping a 996TT roadracer to sell it.
I'll be getting the Motons with springs, front and back camber plates and swaybar links for $3500.
That's less than half what that setup would cost new. I know it's crazy money, but WTF, you only live once!

How bout this bad ass exhaust? Look ma, no cats!

If anyone is interested, he's also selling:

Brembo GTR BBK with 1 extra set of complete front and rear rotors and pads

GT3 seats and Schroth harnesses

Tequipment cage (will fit any 996)

K24/18g turbochargers with less than 1hr dyno time (these are mint, practically new)

2 sets of BBS Motorsport wheels

The "poor guy" is upgrading to a GT3 Cup Car!

That racepak unit looks sweet Rene! Your car will be a beast once it's properly setup!
I'm debating doing the tranny on the turbo. I want to keep it "streetable", as I intend to keep it for life, especially now that the dry-sump GT1 engine block has been phased out by Porsche.
I was initially gonna go with JIC/Cross coilovers, since they are less "track oriented", but I'll be getting the Moton setup for about the same as the JIC's!!!
My intention is in 1-2 years getting either a GT3 RS, or a full track toy (maybe one of those Cayman Interseries, or even a used Cup Car), getting my license, and go "wheel to wheel".
Gotta do it while the replexes are still there!

Yeah, I know. Guy owns his own shop:
www.gocpt.com

Al Uscinski, from Chi-town. Talked to the guy twice today. Seems like a nice guy.

Specs on the tranny:

Close Ratio Gearbox w/LSD

Gear Ratios: Stock box:
1st 3.8182 (3.82)
2nd 2.0476 (2.05)
3rd 1.55 (1.41)
4th 1.2273 (1.12)
5th 1.0313 (0.92)
6th 0.8537 (0.75)

Steel syncros in 3rd,4th,5th,6th. The diff is a OEM GT2 diff.

He'll e-mail an offer for the tranny, as it'b be a swap for mine (he needs one to put on his car, so he can sell it).
I'll take it from him, if "the price is right".

don't forget to ask him what settings he used to run the motons on, will save you time to figure it out yourself. Would be good to replace all rubber bushings with solid ones too. The red chile is going to end up faster than a full track car! especially if you to the transmission! between Rene and yourself the Camel will have no chance to play unless I schedule a field trip for him to Turbocraft!

The great thing about our PCA region is that we have a solid group of enthusiasts that love spending their time and money on the track. Bring it on Rene, that 944 is going to be a killer.

You guys are rocking, makes the aero mods to my Lister (good for -1 second in my Lister at H2R this past weekend) look like nothing. Rene, your LS1 conversion is exciting; I think you're going to love it.

I can't wait for the next RGVPCA H2R event at Harris Hill, ya'll are the only club I've run with there that do a TT at day's end, which to me adds a little adrenaline and makes the whole thing worthwhile.

BTW, Harris Hill has gotten BUMPY. The drought apparently really affected the pavement. I was getting blurred vision in several of the braking zones. Just an FYI for anybody setting up their car for the December DE event there.
