Now you folks have thoroughly hijacked this thread...
...might I suggest a new thread?

"Meaningless Dribble?"

Last reasonable postings related to tech inspections twisted off to pictures of funerals.

Hi Randy, Spydie is just a little over exuberant. Still the hearse makes the point about proper inspection. If not you your car. Check those lug nuts between every run on the track. Aluminum wheels expand and contract with the heat and cool cycles on the track. Even with PCA inspection and my checking the lug nuts with a torque wrench I have had 2 wheels with loose lug nuts during a DE at Cabanis. The heavy braking did it I think. Tire condition is another biggie. Those racing tires are expensive and you want to get all you can from them. BUT when one goes flat at speed it gets exciting fast. Even at the modest speed of my old CRX. Think of a Viper or TT Porsche at 150 and a flat front tire? If you can see cord do not run! Just my 2 cents worth. Have fun wish I could be there. Once at HHR is not enough. Laie_68.gif Laie_68.gif Laie_68.gif

If you are a PCA Instructor, been through training, experienced at H2R, and could teach greens at Harris Hill Road this Saturday 2/27...let me know by emailing me at randyb@headington.com

Word is, they may need a couple of instructors here at the last minute. Run and lunch for free.

Nothing certain...yet...just need to know if anyone might be willing to do it...

It looks like they do need a couple...so email Sondra Sondregger: lonestarsondra@gmail.com immediately!

Track time and lunch for free.

Weather is looking perfect for Saturday at the track in San Marcos.

Too "short notice" for me, I'm on call for the ER this week (including the weekend).
Would've done it in a heartbeat, otherwise.

INSTRUCTORS Needed, too...

There is an event up there this weekend...on Saturday. If there is a conflict with Mother's Day weekend, bring your wife, mom, and daughter to San Marcos to shop.

Cheers...Randy
