March is a busy month for motorsports - to avoid a conflict with a NASA event at MSR Cresson excl.gif we moved the Cameron event to March 27. This introduces a conflict with the annual and infamous TEXAS MILE event in Goliad.

If there is a strong interest amongst our membership in seeing how fast a car can go in a straight line lazy.gif rather than how fast it can go around a circuit yahoo.gif Laie_68.gif , we can work on eliminating this conflict.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Hi Randy again, if I come to the Feb. 20 DE can I get a little right seat Driver Education even if I don't sign up and drive. My old pickup does'nt like turning fast. It may turn over fast. Nothing fancy just something like Skip Barber does in his schools. lol.gif Bill

Bill, it will be great if you come down, hope to see you again.
The neat thing about our events, anyone with a valid driver's license
(notice how I left out the age thing) is welcome to ride with our instructors.
That's what I did the first time out to a Cameron event. One can't see or appreciate the fun
of these events just from the view in the paddock area.
And as you know the corner workers always want company, too.

Bill, it'll be great if you can come. If you can make it to the March event I'll be honored to give you a ride, and even some time in the real fun seat!!!
(the one with the steering wheel).
Sorry to say, but it looks like this will be the first (and hopefully the only) event that I'll miss this year!
The missionary group that I'll be a part of leaves to Haiti this Saturday at 7:15 AM, and we return the next Sunday 21st, around 10PM!
It takes a lot of planning, money, and logistics to mobilize a large group of people and equipment there and back, so I didn't even ask if I could make it back a day or two earlier. Plus, I'd be just wrong to put my individual interests (DE) before the greater good of serving the people of Haiti. "Go big or go home", like I always say!
I'll be thinking about y'all, and rooting for my compadre Russo to get TTOD!
That way we'll be tied at 3-a-piece for the year.
That's right, so far this year it's been a two-man show for TTOD.
And we'll do our best to keep it that way.
I'm counting on you, Russo to keep those vettes (and others) where they belong- behind us.

HD, thanks for representing us " ugly imperialist Americans" who always show up to disasters in other countries with food, money and medical attention.

The Statist governments of China, Venezuela and such have sent token relief. For example, China has sent about 2 million, and Chavez, the great populist that he is sent an airplane full of supplies. The U.S.
is the great Satan, but yet when some calamity or disaster happens we are the ones to give blood, sweat, tears, and of course our hard earned greenbacks.
Jose, its getting tougher and tougher to keep those guys behind us, but I must admit, it's a ton of fun doing it.

Ed that alignment thing is a no-brainer. Just "align" yourself where you belong, behind Russo.
